Jai Ho A R Rahman Live Concert In Kolkata
Kolkata: It will be a treat for music lovers in the city when academy award winner famous musician. A R Rahman appears at the concert organized for raising funds for liver patients organized by the Liver Foundation.
Rahman said “It feels great to be back here”. Rahman had not been in the city after winning his Oscar for Slumdog Millionare. The musician called for the young musician to be ‘original’ in music.
“Jai Ho Concert” is one of a kind concert and will be an evening of grandeur and will bedazzle Kolkata with his presence and performance. The event will be a spectacle with International Standard production and state-of-the-art technology. Besides his performance, the mega-event will showcase an ensemble of talented playback singers and renowned musicians performing along with A R Rahman. Liver Foundation, West Bengal is a voluntary NGO, whose primary objective is to take the benefits of the advances of medical sciences to the socio-economically backward sections of India. The activities and programs include liver health awareness program, mainstreaming of rural health care providers for public health and liver health gains, and fundraising programs for liver transplantations.

The Oscar winning music composer will take part in a charity dinner and auction on Tuesday evening at a city hotel and perform at Salt Lake stadium on November 14.
The proposed hospital, to be set up by the Liver Foundation of West Bengal at an estimated cost of Rs 20 crore, will have 100 beds. “The entire amount will be raised through donations and endorsement and Rahman is helping us,” said Abhijit Chowdhury, the secretary of the foundation and the director of the Institute of Liver Diseases at SSKM Hospital. The hospital is likely to be ready in two years.
