It seems Katrina Kaif’s changing style is becoming a cause of concern for the makers of her film  RAAJNEETI. If reports are to be believed, Katrina Kaif used to frequently change her make-up and  costumes during the shoot of the film that it led to some continuity problems.

Reports further suggest that what stunned the makers of the film was the fact that Katrina was absolutely  oblivious of the problems that she was causing to her crew members. Some even thought that Katrina had no  understanding of the importance of continuity in the filmmaking process and that’s why she used to care so  less about it.

Well, Katrina might have caused pain to the crew members, but the film surely is being awaited with great  enthusiasm.

I’m definitely on the lookout for C-like languages with good C integration and solid package support (for organization). Hopefully Go provides the former with its “syscall” package (or something similar) – building on existing libraries is a huge boon to young languages, as Scala and Clojure have shown with their Java integration.Organizing big C projects is always a challenge, and borrowing packaging ideas from higher level languages like Python could really help.

Can’t wait to see the site and play with a few examples.

Go appears to be procedural language, based on C/C++ syntax, skewed heavily towards C. It has C memory manipulation model with addresses and pointers, which is complicated and not used in Java, PHP, Ruby, etc.There is nothing in this tutorial that attracts my eye, other than built-in parallel processing capability. C historically lacked threading (although current versions have it), but having it built in natively into the language is always great.

I am a fan of Java and Object-Orientation, so new procedural languages sound like a thing of the past to me.

If this is positioned as alternative to JavaScript, I do not see why this is necessary. Why not take JavaScript and make it better / add richer libraries like JQuery as part of the language. What Google has done with Gears for example, is built stuff using native C/C++ code and wrapped it into JavaScript calls – I think that is a better way to move forward and to make things faster.

This is a very clean and powerful language. It’s a direct descendant of C with elements of Haskell, OCaml, python and erlang visible as influences. It seems like yet another attempt to make a “better C than C”, and from a first shallow glance it seems like a clear winner.Objective-C fans (mac programmers) will probably sniff that it’s nothing new, and that clean message passing semantics have been available to programmers for decades, but there are some deep differences; Go is not an object oriented language although you can use it in an objected oriented manner. In many respeccts Go is not a new language, it will seem very familiar to anyone who has used C or C descended languages; and most of the advanced features that it adds to C are implemented in other languages.

Go strikes a good balance between legibility, low-level functionality and high-level functional programming features. It will have a strong appeal to programmers who are interested in the type safety and concurrency friendly features of Haskell or erlang, but want to access them in a more familiar C-like syntax.

It has a good chance to make type-safe concurrent programming a mainstream choice.

Dazzling Dhoni sets up India's 99-run win

Nagpur: Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni struck a breathtaking 124 as India put up an all-round display to crush Australia by 99 runs in the second one-dayer to level the seven-match series 1-1 here on Wednesday.Dhoni smashed a 107-ball 124 to guide India to a record 354 for seven, the highest against Australia, after they were sent in to bat before the home team bowlers bundled out the visitors for 255 in 48.3 overs at VCA Stadium at Jamtha, to cancel out their narrow four-run loss in Vadodara on Sunday.

Besides tearing visiting attack to shreds to notch up his fifth ODI ton in 147 matches, Dhoni figured in two century stands – 119 with Gambhir for the fourth wicket and 136 with Raina for the fifth – pushing India’s score past their previous best against Australia – 315 in Bangalore in March 2001.

Australia were never in the hunt to chase down the mammoth target as they were just 115 for four by the 25th over and the asking run rate climbed to 11 per over by the 31st over.

Michael Hussey top-scored with a 60-ball 53 and he tried in vain to make a match out of it by sharing a 47-run stand for the fifth wicket with Adam Voges (36).Young Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of Indian bowlers with figures of 3-35. Pacers Praveen Kumar and Ishant Sharma were also impressive with 2-37 and 2-34 respectively.

The two teams will now travel to Delhi for the third one-dayer on Saturday. .Earlier, Dhoni blazed his way to his first ODI ton in more than a year to lead India to a record 354 for six.Dhoni completed his century in 94 balls, studded with two sixes and seven fours, as he simply tore the visiting team’s attack to shreds on a good batting track. Sachin Tendulkar: 'It is tough for the umpires to watch the no-balls and watch what's happening in the front"

Sachin Tendulkar has admitted that he’s not in favour of the umpire referrals system and prefers technology – including Hot Spot for bat-pad catches – to be extended to all decisions except lbw appeals and where the batsman is bowled.

Tendulkar also suggested that the umpires in the middle be rotated in the same match, which would allow them time to rest, recharge and concentrate better.

His views echoed those of recently retired umpireSteve Bucknor and former Test umpire Peter Willey.

“I’m not particularly happy with the referrals because I’m not convinced of the angles (on television),” Tendulkar told India Today magazine. “I’m not convinced. I wasn’t happy when we first went through it [on India's tour of Sri Lanka last year].”

The referrals system was first tried out during India’s Sri Lanka tour and the innovation has since been used only on a trial basis though it will be re-introduced on a permanent basis from this month.

However, Tendulkar said he was in favour of increasing technology in cricket to reduce the load on the umpire, helping him to be more focused and therefore more accurate.

“It is tough for the umpires to watch the no-balls and watch what’s happening in the front. For the basic line decisions you have to have a laser or something like that… the no-ball is like tennis (in which there is a beep during a let when the ball hits the net during a serve)… you can call it with a machine.”

After the initial trials, the ICC had decided to include the Hot Spot to assist the third umpire. Tendulkar welcomed the innovation and added that cricket should capitalise on that aid.

“We are still using technology for close catches,” Tendulkar said. “They should use the Hot Spot for the bat-pad decision so the main umpire has to only make the LBW calls. I’m quite happy with the Hot Spot because that establishes the contact.

“For the caught behind, the Hot Spot will come. Close in catches again the Hot Spot will come. You don’t need a machine for the clean bowled, so the lbw decisions are all the umpire has to concentrate on.”

Tendulkar understood the pressure on-field umpires face these days with every error – glaring or marginal – scrutnised and criticized by experts. He said a rotation system within the same game may help.

“Maybe we could have umpires doing a session each and so have three umpires for a game, so umpires do get time off also.”

Casey has been out of action since early August with a torn rib muscle

The top four players on the European Tour money list have avoided each other in the draw for this week’s World Match Play Championship in Spain.

Lee Westwood, Martin Kaymer, Rory McIlroy and Paul Casey have all been drawn in different groups for the tournament’s new round-robin stage.

Westwood’s four-man group includes fellow Englishman Ross Fisher while Casey’s features American Anthony Kim.

The group winners at Finca Cortesin progress to Saturday’s semi-finals.

Beckham was a big hit during his loan spell with AC Milan last season

David Beckham will definitely rejoin AC Milan on loan in January, according to the Italian club’s chief executive Adriano Galliani.

Beckham, 34, is keen to play for Milan to maximise his chances of making the England squad for the 2010 World Cup.

Galliani told Italy’s Sky TV: “It’s 100% certain. The only thing missing is the signatures, the agreement is done.”

The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder had a loan spell at Milan last season, during the Major League Soccer off-season.

He joined Milan on an initial three-month deal in January that was extended to the end of the season.Beckham was a big success in Serie A and negotiations have been under way to repeat the arrangement.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player said the deal was “95% done” after appearing for England as a substitute during their 3-0 World Cup qualifying win over Belarus on 15 October, adding: “I don’t see why it isn’t going to happen. I always wanted to go back.”

Microsoft is hoping the successor to Vista will be more of a hit with users when it launches on 22 October.

Many of the features take into account multimedia applications and the fact that users are beginning to store their data on the internet.

In the UK some computer stores are due to open at midnight so keen PC users can get their hands on the software.

Microsoft is encouraging people to hold Windows 7 launch parties and has gone as far as to prepare party packs for those willing to get their friends together to mark the release.
